International Conference on Research and Business Sustainability
13 July 2017
Waikato Management School is a co-organiser of this year's International Conference on Research and Business Sustainability 2017, being held in India this December 16-17.
The conference will provide a platform for academics, researchers, business leaders and government officials to discuss the latest research insights on sustainable business practices.
It will include panel discussions and symposia, plus a special session on the principles of sustainable management. Abstracts must be submitted by 25 September.
Two of our academics will be giving presentations at the conference:
- Dr Paresha Sinha, senior lecturer in strategy and human resource management
Dr Sinha has first-hand experience of working as a consultant and corporate trainer with top management at some of India's most well-known business firms, including the public sector and multinational manufacturing firms.
Her research interests include organisational leadership and the co-construction of charismatic and destructive leader-follower relationships.
She is currently investigating the effect of organisational leadership on transgenerational entrepreneurship in family firms; decision-making logic used by CEOs in young internationalising firms; and the strategies and legitimation processes used by CEOs during international mergers and acquisitions.
- Professor Juliet Roper, professor of management communication
Her research expertise includes business and corporate social responsibility; interpersonal communication; media and visual communication; and public relations.
The other co-organisers of the conference are the UK's Sheffield Hallam University Business School, and the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in India.
